Leif Ericson Day (Official) - at Marcus Hook, PA
Today is the official Leif Ericson Day, as proclaimed by the President. For more info on why this date was chosen, please see our web page in the "About Us" section.
Our Vikingship, the Norseman, will be sailing into the harbor at Marcus Hook between 11 - 11:30 am; the crew will act a a guard for the various speakers and VIP's assembled to commemorate Leif Ericson Day. This part is open to the public and is free of charge.
Around 2 pm, a luncheon will be served at the Holiday Inn Select in Claymont, DE (not far from Marcus Hook). There is a charge for this luncheon, but all are welcomed! The Scandinavian Country being honored this year is Iceland. Please join us! |
